About my talks: My talks last between 45 and 75 minutes. Unless otherwise stated, they are slide projecter presentations and I supply all of the equipment required. I have been described as 'a witty dialogue of anecdotes that kept his audience in stitches' . I regularly speak to WIs, Rotary, Round Table, many retirement groups plus Hard of Hearing clubs, Visually Impaired groups,Stroke Clubs - in fact, , anybody who would listen! I have given talks to audiences ranging in size from 16 ladies in somebody's front room to 800 in a conference centre. |
About me: I was born in Chester in 1929 and brought up in Scarborough. After part of an apprenticeship in pharmacy, joined the army - 18 months infantry -36 years Royal Army Medical Corps. Then Market trader, Theatre administrator. Wildlife photographer and playwright.

Geriatric on a Bike in Jordan
I started on the speaking circuit after having completed a sponsored bike ride through Jordan in 1997 and I used the theatre, where, before my retirement, I had worked. While we were in Jordan, someone mentioned a proposed ride through Cuba, so I did that as well. This led to a number of bookings for my "Geriatric on a Bike" talks which have continued to be very popular
