Find a Public Speaker for your event

It is entirely free to use this website either to advertise your talks or to engage a public speaker. I have built this site so that small and medium sized organisations and charities can find Public Speakers who charge only a modest fee and of course, to advertise my own talks.

1. Use this website: It won't cost you anything and I don't charge the speakers anything either to advertise, or when they get a booking. In fact, you don't have to let me know that you've made a booking using the website. There are a few Google ads on the site and that provides just about enough to cover the hosting costs - so, please, be my guest and cruise the website to book your public speakers.. I have eschewed high profile speakers who charge big fees. My own fee of between £80 and £175 is about the most expensive on the website. I have tried to get the speakers to quote their fees, but lots of them fight shy of doing so.... I'm sorry about that!

2. I've tried to avoiod motivational speakers: Unless they have an added extra that is really entertaining, I've avoided high powered speakers who are selling 'how to build a new career' type of talks. I have gone for speakers who are there purely to entertain and/or inform but most of all, to provide the audience with an enjoyable, 'feel good' factor hour or so.

3. Don't be frightened to negotiate: If you really like the sound of a talk, and you think your club/organisation will thoroughly enjoy the subject matter, then phone the speaker and tell him that you would love him/her to come and talk but you can't afford the fee. if the speaker lives fairly near to you, he may be prepared to bring his price into line with what you can afford. Be bold, say what you can afford and then say nothing else, just give him/her time to think it through - the fee you're offering, how much travelling is involved, whether he's got another talk that day etc etc. You'll be surprised what you might get away with. (Hope none of my speakers read this!)
