The Chadsmoor Tapestries |
 It is more than ten years now, since Colin Bromley gathered together a group of men and women to create a Millennium Tapestry for Cadsmoor. The group were reluctant to disolve once the Tapestry was completed and so they decided to refurbish the Chadsmoor Methodist Church pews which were famously uncomfortable. My talk tells of the work involved in designing the tapestries as each pew bench has a completely different design, though all are themed on Haydn's Creation. There was much fun and frustration along the way and Dianne Mannering who has built this website interviewed us all whilst the work was in progress and wrote the book Creation Project. |
