I have recently retired as an international tv comedy writer and during my career I wrote series for Tommy Cooper, Dick Emery, Les Dawson, Bruce Forsyth, Frankie Howerd, Bob Monkhouse and David Frost, among others.
I am a regular guest enrichment lecturer on board cruise ships, averaging five cruises a year. On those fortnight-long cruises I usually give between four and six highly entertaining 55-minute talks. I talk about the stars I have worked with and how comedy is created. I also include lots of backstage gossip about the audience’s favourite TV shows and their famous (and sometimes infamous), stars.
I have had three very successful books published on comedy writing and have just completed a new gag book containing over 4,000 gags.
About my Talks...
Most of my talks are on COMEDY but I also talk about modern scams and how to avoid falling victim to them.
I stand alone and do not require any special equipment, except perhaps a microphone if the size of the venue makes it necessary.
I live in Southgate, North London and I charge a fee of £100 for talks in the Greater London area and £125 beyond that area up to 100 miles from base.
