About The Speaker...

At the age of 58, ex-headteacher and school inspector, Claire Baldry, left the world of education and reinvented herself as a performance poet. She now has a strong local following as a blogger and a poet, and gives performances, talks and workshops for local businesses, clubs and charities. She has recently appeared on BBC Sussex Radio. Her first booklet of poetry due for publication in June 2014.

In her 45 min to 1 hour talk Claire takes her audience on a humorous journey, as she describes her change of career at the start of ‘retirement’.


Claire does not charge for her talks, but is always grateful for donations to her chosen charity. She may ask for pre-agreed expenses if asked to travel long distances.
