John is an expert in human behaviour and body language, a published author and an award-winning speaker. A teacher and Master of Psychology (Distinction), John enjoys sharing his thoughts on the different ways in which we interact, and why we behave as we do.

About his talk...

I am happy to deliver a ‘stand alone’ (equipment free) talk or an illustrated presentation, for which I can provide a projector and laptop, using the venue’s screen or suitable wall. My talks typically last for one hour, allowing some time for a Q & A. The duration can be adapted to suit.

 

PLEASE NOTE: John is now only able to consider evening or weekend talks.

 

 

Fee:

I charge £50 for my ‘Fascinating Notts Writers’ talk and £100 for my ‘Reading Body Language’ plus reasonable travel expenses if more than ten miles from my home city of Nottingham.

Reading Body Language - My Guide to People Watching

Discover how people consciously and unconsciously signal their attitudes, desires and feelings with their nonverbal behaviour. Using science and humour I deliver talks that are both interesting and entertaining, showing how an understanding of our ancient survival instincts can help us to read people. Learn the secrets of deception and attraction, tell when someone is showing signs of comfort or discomfort, and see how our own nonverbal behaviour can be encoded to our advantage. People watching will never be the same again. After all, it’s often not what we say but how we say it.
