About me...

I’m a professional speaker, voice over artist, and help manage the family music business based around my late Grandfather Johnny Douglas who wrote the music to the 1971 film The Railway Children.

I enjoy many hobbies including snooker, cycling, skiing, travelling, theatre and cinema, amateur dramatics and socializing. A couple of years ago I started playing football and I’m enjoying the fitness and fun that comes with playing this team sport and taking part in women’s football festivals.

About my Talks...

I am very happy to deliver my talks via a video platform to anywhere in the UK. Some talks are supported with visuals via PowerPoint. I currently have 4 talks with 2 more coming soon. I ensure all my talks are fun and informative. My subjects are: Health benefits of the powerful medicinal plant Aloe Vera, The Bees and health substances from the hive, Legal Cannabis – CBD and Hemp, the supersonic beauty Concorde, my journey of creating a product and bringing it to market and finally a talk on the life and music of my late grandfather Johnny Douglas.

Usually my talks last around 45 minutes and then time for questions, but the length can be altered to suit the groups requirements.

Fee:

My fee is £95 and 45p per mile expenses. I am happy to travel anywhere within the South East or deliver my talks via a video platform to anywhere in the UK. I have products available for those interested in purchasing but there is no obligation to buy and there is no hard sell. Should you prefer the talk to not have a sales element that is easily accommodated, and my fee is £95 plus 45p per mile expenses. As the Concorde talk and all the seasonal talks don’t have any products to promote the fee is £95 plus 45p per mile expenses.

All talks can be presented virtually via zoom or other online conference platforms.

Tracks to my Grandfather’s success

Johnny Douglas the highly acclaimed composer, arranger and conductor I’m proud to say is my grandfather. In this talk about his life and success I share his journey and music. He worked with many celebrities, had his own record label Dulcima Records and most famously wrote the music to the 1971 film The Railway Children plus 41 other films and the Marvel Animation TV series wall to wall music for Spiderman and his Amazing friends, Dungeons and Dragons, Transformers and more. Capturing the curvature of the earth on Concorde

I’ve always loved looking at Concorde in the sky and then had the privilege of flying on her travelling faster than a rifle bullet at Mach 2. I have lots of facts, memorabilia and photos of my trip and of all the BA Concordes in their final resting place having visited them all. Would you like to hear about the experience of flying onboard Concorde? What about that awful fatal accident in Paris? Why doesn’t Concorde fly anymore? If you’d like to know more then my talk will definitely interest you.

 

The Bees and the Amazing Products From the Hive

We all know not to kill the bees but do we know why?   Following first hand experience I will share how the hive works, the substances from the hive and how they help bees and humans, the importance of the bees for our eco-system, concern over the decline of the bees and how we can all help them.

This talk presents very well with illustrations via a projector and screen.  I have the necessary illustrations if a projector and screen can’t be provided.  If the venue does not have viewing facilities I can bring laminated A4 size photos to show around during my talk..

The Power of Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera also known as the wand of heaven is an amazing natural ingredient which is known to help with skin conditions, digestion, joint pain, immune system, general well being and energy.  Packed with vitamins and nutrients and delivered to the consumer in a variety of different products to help them with so many health challenges and conditions.

For this talk I just require a table to display the products and plant.  No AV equipment is required as I bring my own head mic and circulate whilst delivering the presentation so that everyone is engaged and able to touch the plant and products.

Legal Cannabis. The health benefits of CBD and Hemp

CBD, THC, Hemp, Marijuana!   You may have heard of one or all of these and might be wondering what the differences are and whether there are any health benefits for you or your family. In my talk I shed some light on it all, why Hemp is a phenomenal plant, how CBD interacts with our body’s endocannabinoid system, and about the company that single-handedly created the exploding market we are witnessing today.

From Concept to Customer

My journey of having an idea for a fashion accessory product, creating it finding a manufacturer, producing the marketing and PR, and bringing it to market. 2020 was the 10 year anniversary of my little product ‘Strupz – the jean stirrup’ being available to purchase. www.strupz.co.uk
