About me...
I am a published children’s author with over twenty years’ experience in the publishing industry as both a writer and an editor. I have written over 110 books, have around fourteen different pseudonyms (including Enid Blyton), and am translated into approximately seventeen languages. I also write under my own name, across the age range from early readers to teens. I am a writing consultant, a judge for TV writing shows and a regular contributor to the bible of children’s fiction, THE CHILDREN’S WRITERS’ AND ARTISTS’ YEARBOOK.
About my talk...
I have a PowerPoint presentation to illustrate my talk, but am equally comfortable presenting as a stand-alone speaker if that suits your venue better. I don’t read from notes, and am reliably informed that I am an engaging speaker.
If you are interested in the world of children’s books, whether writing them or reading them or simply gathering the gossip, then I’d be delighted to entertain you.
Fee:
My fee is £200, plus travel expenses of 20p per litre and accommodation expenses where required. I’m based in Surrey, but happy to travel ANYWHERE in the UK.
