Having been giving talks as an invited speaker at industry events and conferences for many years on a range of work related subjects I am now giving talks on my hobby, Church Bell Ringing.

The Art of Bell Ringing

This talk is around 30 to 45 minutes long and is aimed at people who have little or only a basic understanding of how Church bells are rung.  The talk consists of slides, video clips and sound clips and demonstrations using a model and a small church bell.   Some audience participation is encouraged, especially with regard to listening to recordings of bells and identifying the number of bells, tunes etc.  The talk is aimed to be both entertaining and educational so that the audience will be able to understand and appreciate Church Bell ringing when they hear it in the future, either when walking past a church or as part of a national occasion.
