About the Speaker...

Shelley Lozano has worked professionally as a cabaret artiste and entertainer for over 30 years which has taken her as far afield as Europe, Kathmandu, India and the Middle East.  She is now an author and radio presenter with a weekly wildlife show and through her work, helps raise awareness and funds for endangered wildlife and offers fun and entertaining talks for a variety of functions and events to suit audiences of all ages.

About her talks...

 

Requirements: None but would appreciate a table, chair, glass of water and the use of a big screen if already available.  Shelley is completely self-contained with PA, big screen, laptop and projector, fully insured, pat tested and CRB checked.

Talk duration: From approx. 45 minutes upwards.  Most talks are accompanied by photo’s, slideshows, unique videos and power-point presentations as well as a questions and answer session at the end.

Fee:

From £65 upwards locally, plus modest travelling expenses if more than 10 miles from Southampton.  Concessions for smaller clubs such as WI’s, U3A, Townswomen’s Guild, etc.  Short notice bookings or cover for cancellations if available.

Please note Shelley donates a portion of her own fee and a percentage of the profit from any merchandise sold directly back into funding some of the big cat projects she supports.

Shelley gives an interesting, informative and entertaining talk delivered with passion and a little humour, along with some ‘funny but true’ stories about her life as a professional variety entertainer to her work as an author, raising awareness for big cat conservation.  Share her passion as Shelley takes you on a journey from her colourful life in Cabaret to the rain forests of Borneo and Costa Rica, the South African plains and the exotic East to Thailand and Asia where she has helped various big cat projects and endangered wildlife

Accompanied by photographs, slideshows, unique video footage from her travels and some thought-provoking poems from her book, ‘Wild & Free’ with a questions and answer session at the end.

Shelley shares her incredible journey and experiences through her showbiz career with inspirational and motivational stories from her life as an international cabaret artiste and entertainer, accompanied by photographs, funny stories and video clips. An amusing and entertaining look at life as an Entertainer in her varied and professional career.  A question and answer session, balloon animal sculptures and an optional belly dance cabaret performance with audience participation will make this an unusual and fun event to remember!

Shelley has studied big cats and feline behaviour and supports several conservation projects in the UK and overseas and is also a part of the UK team for the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF UK).  This talk is ideal for schools or photography clubs or anywhere there is a special interest in wildlife and conservation.  Shelley gives an illustrated talk and presentation focusing on endangered wildlife and conservation issues with a look at the illegal pet trade, ivory poaching, wildlife trafficking, human-wildlife conflict and animals used for entertainment and an insight into some of the work being done by many charities to help combat this as well as ways we can all help.
