About Tony Davis...

Tony​ ​Davis​ ​is​ ​a​ ​78​ ​year​ ​old​ ​grandfather​ ​who​ ​is​ ​very​ ​curious.​ ​​ ​He​ ​follows​ ​with​ ​great​ ​interest  developments​ ​in​ ​Science​ ​and​ ​Mathematics.​ ​​ ​​ ​He​ ​mostly​ ​uses​ ​this​ ​new​ ​information​ ​to  stimulate​ ​sixth​ ​formers​ ​who​ ​are​ ​looking​ ​to​ ​enter​ ​elite​ ​Universities.    A​ ​by-product​ ​is​ ​that​ ​he​ ​also​ ​gives​ ​talks​ ​to​ ​adult​ ​groups.​ ​​ ​Below​ ​is​ ​a​ ​list​ ​of​ ​those​ ​talks​ ​he​ ​has  prepared​ ​at​ ​the​ ​moment​ ​but​ ​he​ ​is​ ​always​ ​interested​ ​to​ ​consider​ ​the​ ​challenges​ ​of​ ​addressing  a​ ​topic​ ​of​ ​your​ ​choice.    The​ ​presentations​ ​are​ ​heavily​ ​illustrated​ ​and​ ​often​ ​the​ ​audience​ ​finds​ ​quite​ ​serious​ ​ideas  amusing.​ ​​ ​It​ ​is​ ​the​ ​way​ ​he​ ​tells​ ​them.

My​ ​topics​ ​are​ ​based​ ​on​ ​a​ ​portable​ ​hard​ ​drive​ ​so​ ​I​ ​need​ ​a​ ​computer​ ​linked​ ​to​ ​a​ ​projector​ ​to  present​ ​my​ ​talk​ ​on​ ​your​ ​screen.

Fee:

I​ ​charge​ ​£50​ ​per​ ​talk​ ​with​ ​travel​ ​charges​ ​of​ ​£0.35​ ​per​ ​mile​ ​above​ ​10​ ​miles​ ​distance​ ​from​ ​my  Taunton,​ ​Somerset,​ ​base.​ ​​ ​My​ ​usual​ ​radius​ ​of​ ​activity​ ​is​ ​Cornwall,​ ​Devon,​ ​Dorset,​ ​Somerset,  Wiltshire,​ ​Bristol​ ​and​ ​Gloucestershire​ ​but​ ​I​ ​am​ ​happy​ ​to​ ​consider​ ​further​ ​afield​ ​if​ ​my​ ​wife​ ​and  I​ ​can​ ​use​ ​it​ ​as​ ​the​ ​nucleus​ ​of​ ​a​ ​trip.​ ​​ ​We​ ​like​ ​Kent,​ ​Yorkshire,​ ​Central​ ​Wales​ ​and​ ​the​ ​Lake  District​ ​for​ ​these​ ​trips.
